Revival of a broken Zsolnay
.jpg)
We have several nice pieces made by the Zsolnay Porcelain Manufacture at home but one of them got unfortunately to be cracked on a day. I was looking at the wrecks for a while until accepting the fact that they cannot be glued together any more. Suddenly I got a small hammer broke them into smaller pieces and finally crashed them into even smaller pieces with a small claw by having a genuine mosaic in my mind. I was searching the internet for days what kind of materials I would need to make it. In the meantime, I drew a simple shape of a vase and chose stamps for the background featuring the city of Pécs as the Zsolnay Porcelain Manufacture was in Pécs. I bought different types of glues but they did not work for me. When I finally received the special glue and the pointer from Miskolc the whole background way finalized already. I was thrilled to start my mosaic waiting for the success. I was extremely happy when every single small piece got to heir place and they remained to be glued too! The process of the pointing was completely unknown to me but I did it! It was already a children’s game to chose the frame to the mosaic but how to fix it remains to be the task of our framer Tibor Koncz.
