St Steven's Crown

47_Szent_Istvá_Koronája_St_Steven's_Crown.png

This is my first picture which was made by using stamps from the times before the second World War. I used stamps which imagine St. Steven, Hungary’s first King and his crown. St. Steven is a very impoartant personality for us Hungarians. He became to be the country’s King on January 1. 1001. The Sacrified Crown of Hungary is Europe’s longest used crown which remained to be intact by our times and is in he same time the symbol of the statehood.

As for th epicture one can see in the centre stylized crown with the cross. To make the background of th epictur eI used stamps imagined the British Queen.
