The story of this picture is a very simple one. When I was ready with my previous picture titlet “Like an Embroidery…” I started to kame order but I found many pieces of the stamps from the series commemorating the 900th anniversary of the death of our first king St. Steven issued in the year of 1938 received from our collector friend Csaba Sutochki. The many interesting colours did not leave me calm so I started to place them in a certain order until I was content with what I saw. I used seven colours to make this order so the background had to remain to be white which was painted by using the back of the stamps. The unique feature of the background is the quadratic pattern of the margins of the stamps.
