Autumn colours

stamp-art (4).png

Another picture featuring Autumn. The inspiration was given by nature itself, by the cavalcade of colours one can see around and around. I used basically British stamps to paint the colours; you can find the widest variety of colours among stamps issued in Britan. The observant viewer however can find Swiss and Dutch stamps as well as those issued in Hong Kong.

When I was in the process of making the picture, I recollected reminiscences from my childhood.  When attending secondary school we used to go to pick grapes. sometimes we picked apples while other times we went to the wine-lands. We worked hard of course to earn money for the class but these days are among my best recollections. We spent the whole day open-air; we laughed a lot and was allowed to eat as much grapes as we could. Nowadays I do not go to grape picking events but make large excursions instead.
