Snowfall

This picture was made in wintertime when we had even snowfall too. This phenomenon was not a rarity in my childhood at all and even as a university student we managed snowball wars while night-time snow sweeping used to be an excellent source for additional income. Circa twenty-five years ago we had so much snow that we built together with my children a large iglu in our garden. Nowadays snow is a rare guest with us not taking into account how nice a snowfall might be and how much we like to see when the white soft snow covers everything. This winter we had snow again. This phenomenon gave me the push to make a picture but not only by using stamps but to have embroidery as well. So, what can an old, out-of-use cloth be useful for nevertheless? It is not an easy work at all to make snowflakes out of te cloth but the ned-product speaks for itself, I think.
