This time I start my newsletter with a very special picture. I received it on a family gathering and It contains a specially picked presentation of my pictures ever made. I started my activity as artist exactly ten years ago but only with am aim to have a hobby and now I am making pictures which are “painted by stamps”.
I have made 186 pictures by now and here I wish to present three out of them all made in 2015, in the very first year.
The Tower of Babel is now decorating a flat, Nature – SOS is hanging in the room om my daughter Zsofi while the afterlife of the picture Cirque is not an everyday story at all. I painted it in Debrecen and it was first exhibited for the public also here. It was then taken to London and was on show at the 2019 Stampex, the largest British stamp exhibition and fair in the Islington Design Center. The next stop on this interesting journey was the Royal Residence in Tirana, where Crown Prince Leka Zogu 2nd, the grandson of the late King of Albania Ahmet Zogu lives. It is very interesting for us Hungarians that the grandmother of the Prince was a Hungarian countess, Geraldine Apponyi. Leka 2nd, the young Prince is the only living member of the Albanian Royal family and works as an advisor to the Government of his country. Thus, it is an interesting and important occurrence in my artistic life that this picture was taken to his study.
The fate of my picture titled Lady of The Rosary is even more unique.I was extremely happy to have the opportunity in the middle of an easing phase of covid to hand it over personally to Pope Francis, who greeted me in Hungarian with the word of “Üdvözlöm!” (How do you do). He blessed my daughter Zsofi who was with me and gave me the possibility to tell him some words explain where I came from and what the essence of my art was.
My art, my pictures brought many more opportunities, acquaintances later as well. I think there are not many art pieces in the world signed by not only the artist but by those whom the piece figures. We like ballet so we viewed a spectacle of Carmen á la Acosta, the farewell piece of the world-famous dancer Carlos Acosta. It made a great impact on me and made a picture inspired by Acosta’s Carmen and we sent also a photo of the picture to him.
Carlos proposed to sign the picture himself thus he invited us to the Covent Garden Opera where ballet-lovers saluted him upon his 50th birthday. It happened only after the show but I also had the opportunity to step onto the stage of the Covent Garden.

We first met Marianela Nunez, the ballerina from Argentina who is one of the leading dancers of the world. I gifted her with my picture Swan Lake seen on the photo. As her was one of the leading role in Carmen she also signed the picture.
Carlos Acosta himself, who became from a street kid from Cuba to be an absolute world start of his generation, received my picture Children's Drawings from Cuba, 1971, 1987. It was striking to see when he joined us, he could hardly keep the pen in his hands. His assistant revealed the secret, his shoulder got injured on the previous day but he managed the shaw we saw without giving the slightest opportunity to detect his pain by the audience!
When speaking about these ten years it goes without question that I have to mention the exhibition series of four held in China last year. The opening event was a solo exhibition held in Beijing in the Horizon Art Space Gallery of the famous 798 Art Zone in June.
The Beijing exhibition was followed by joint events together with other Hungarian artists in the cities of Guiyang, Zhengzhou and Chongqing. It is hard to imagine but according to the organizers my pictures were seen in China by more than 1,5 million people.
Er have made a presentation of a selection of my pictures which you can see by using the following link:
